Frequently Ask Questions
Through the combined efforts of Upstream Waste Solutions and our affiliate partners, we have helped divert 25% of waste from entering area landfills.
We are proud to play a role in reducing environmental impact throughout the CSRA and across the South.
We serve the entire CSRA (Central Savannah River Area) and most surrounding communities.
We are also part of a large affiliate network whose reach extends throughout the South.
We offer the following roll-off containers:
- 18-Yard – Ideal for garage cleanouts and small remodels
- 20-Yard – Great for roofing, flooring, and medium renovation projects
- 30-Yard – Best for major renovations and demolition
Small cleanout or deck removal → 18-yard
Roofing or multi-room remodel → 20-yard
Large renovation or demolition → 30-yard
When in doubt, sizing up is often more cost-effective than scheduling a second haul.
All area landfills enforce a 1-ton minimum disposal requirement. Because of this, we must pass that minimum along to our customers.
In larger metropolitan markets, the minimum is often 2 tons.
The 18-yard container is hauled by a smaller truck with fewer axles, resulting in lower operational costs.
Those savings are passed directly to our customers.
Dumpsters should be placed on a flat, stable surface.
We can place containers on:
- Driveways
- Grass
- Dirt
- Gravel
Please check HOA rules before delivery. Dumpsters cannot be placed in floodplains. If placed on grass, surface marking should be expected.
In most residential driveway placements, permits are not required.
If placing a dumpster on a public roadway, your municipality may require one.
We often provide next-day delivery and sometimes same-day service depending on availability.
Standard rental periods vary by agreement. Extensions are available if additional time is needed—just contact us before your scheduled pickup date.
Most common construction debris and household junk are accepted, including wood, drywall, roofing materials, furniture, flooring, and yard debris (non-hazardous).
If you are unsure about a specific item, please ask before loading.
Prohibited materials include hazardous chemicals, paints, solvents, asbestos, medical waste, flammable liquids, and certain electronics.
Mattresses and tires do not compact easily and create underground air pockets in landfills. These pockets can increase fire risk and methane collection.
Many facilities must shred or deconstruct these items before disposal. The additional fee covers specialized handling and equipment required for safe processing.
No. For safety and transportation compliance, debris must not exceed the top edge of the container. Overfilled dumpsters cannot be hauled.
