Upstream Recycling, LLC was founded in 2015 by two Georgian natives with a little luck, a fair amount of knowledge, and a large passion for recycling the volume of waste and recyclable materials that make their way into landfills.

By taking Zach’s extensive hauling and landfill experience, Ryan’s landfill, salvaging, repurposing, and network talents, they formed Upstream. What started as a one-truck, two-container operation has grown, divided out into other affiliate companies, and we can proudly claim that all companies’ operations service over 1200 area customers between Georgia and South Carolina, while employing roughly 60 employees.

All these lofty dreams and goals of sustainability have been made possible primarily by keeping the companies within close geographical proximity, not just for operational purposes but also to reduce the carbon footprint on the environment. South Carolina and Georgia are beautiful places that the company and our employees call home, and we plan to do everything in our power to keep them that way.
